Three researchers affiliated with the Puentes Consortium have conducted recent research investigations and contributed to two new scholarly publications, which can now be found on the Puentes Consortium website. To access these publications, please click on the Research tab found on the Home Page of the Puentes Consortium website, and navigate to the 2019 tab under Relevant Publications. The research groups would like to extend their appreciation to Puentes Consortium for their funding and continued support.

The first of the published articles, Diabetes Self-Management Behaviors, Health Care Access, and Health Perception in Mexico-US Border States, is written by Francisco González-Salazar, a previous Puentes Consortium Visiting Scholar, and other researchers. The publication details a cross-sectional study used to assess general diabetes self-management practices, as well as identify health care access and provision, and better understand health perceptions. The study arrives at many insighful conclusions, which are detailed in the publication.

The second article, Best Practices Against Money Laundering, is an Execitive Summary is the first in a series of publications and workshops funded by Puentes Consortium to the research group led by Pedro Torres, a Puentes Consortium 2017 Visiting Scholar. The publication is written by a research group, including Tony Payan, the Director of the Mexico Center of Baker Institute, and Rodrigo Montes de Oca, a research scholar at the Mexico Center. The publication higlights several models used to prevent money laundering and concludes with next steps.
